Our main office is the first permanent office in the Netherlands that has been built on top of waste. This beautiful building ‘folds’ out of the surrounding landscape, hence its name “De Vouw” (the fold). It is a perfect example to demonstrate that you can safely redevelop and exploit modern landfills as fresh, high-value sites.     With help of the Pace-Net Plus (PNP) programme supported by the European Union, Afvalzorg organised and provided theoretical and practical hands on training in Fiji on methane emission reduction management in cooperation with the University of the South Pacific. More information
